Leveling battle pets 1-25 has just gotten a lot easier with Legion Patch 7.2. Check out how I level pets from 1-25 in Legion! You can level up your first pets 1-25 in one go without needing to fight wild pets, two pet tamers or anything hard. Once you’ve got your first level 25 pet you can choose to purchase more max level pets on your server’s Auction House if you’d like to speed up your battle pet team assembly. This pet battle leveling strategy is suitable for leveling your first battle pet 1-25.

Not sure which pets to level first? An Anubisath Idol (Crush/Stoneskin/Deflection), Stormborne Whelpling (Tail Sweep/Mana Surge/Arcane Storm) and Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling (Breath/Thunderbolt/Decoy) will get you through most fights. Top 10 First Pets To Level For New Pet Battlers - Legion Version

10-Grumpy -Used for catching wild pets.
9-Rabbit -Can dodge pretty much anything
8-MPD and Lifelike mechanical boar – Magic and beast counters
7-Ikky -can beat pretty much anything
6-Raptors -Can take out pretty much anything
5-Unborn’Valk, ghastly kid or Wicked Soul – Haunt to combo with Ikky or raptors
4-Anubisath -Can take out pretty much anything but very slowly
3-Emp crab -Stong critter/undead counter. Heals too
2-Stormborn – counters flyers and pretty much everything else
1-Nether Faerie Dragon -Smart use of equalizer can take out 2 pets for 1.

Rematch – The add-on that shows which pets are strong against what, and helpful for making teams and adding pets to leveling ques. Its really great.

PetTraker – DOES A LOT MORE THAN JUST TRACK PETS. It also gives its own breed id’s (I disable it though), and has its own opponent move tracker which actually works in pvp and is that little thing in the bottom right of my screen that shows what moves my opponent has and what their cooldowns are.
